Yajur Veda Peace Chant

ॐ द्यौः शान्तिरन्तरिक्षं शान्तिः

पृथिवी शान्तिरापः शान्तिरोषधयः शान्तिः ।

वनस्पतयः शान्तिर्विश्वेदेवाः शान्तिर्ब्रह्म शान्तिः

सर्वं शान्तिः शान्तिरेव शान्तिः सा मा शान्तिरेधि ॥

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

— यजुर्वेद ३६:१७

Oṃ dyauḥ śāntir antarikṣaṃ śāntiḥ

pṛthivī śāntir āpaḥ śāntir oṣadhayaḥ śāntiḥ

vanaspatayaḥ śāntir viśvedevāḥ śāntir 

brahma śāntiḥ sarvaṃ śāntiḥ 

śāntir eva śāntiḥ sā mā śāntir edhi

Oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ

May there be peace in the heavens (dyauḥ), peace in the skies (antarikṣaṃ) and peace on earth (pṛthivī). May the waters (āpaḥ) be peaceful.

May the grasses and herbs (oṣadhayaḥ) bring peace to all creatures and may the plants (vanaspatayaḥ) themselves also be at peace.

May the beneficent beings (viśvedevāḥ) bring us peace and may the way of all creation (brahma) bring peace through the world. May all things be peaceful, and may that peace itself bring further peace. May we also bring peace to all. May real peace blossom through us.
